This life is a long journey when your sitting on a gurney

Born and raised in the desert where the cactus grow.
My skin soaks up the sun like my lungs absorb the flow.
Cypher the wisdom like a needle on wax.
While you be breaking bread, I be breaking down fact.
Knowledge the roots and gain respect for the culture.
We living among a bunch of fuckin' snakes and vultures.
Their Starving for the light like a hip hop junkie searching for a mic.
This journey in life has more then one destination.
No time for stagnation.
Constantly creation while building a foundation.
If music is the soul like water brings life.
I plant jewels in these fools to cultivate the mind.
Exist in the future cuz the past is blind.
I said wake the fuck up or keep hitting the snooze.
Get your mind right or stay stuck like glue.
As I choose to sip from the fountain of youth.
